Grant Hinton

GrantSmallGrant Hinton attended Northeast Mississippi Community College where he received a technical degree in Diesel Power Technology. He has attended the Paulson School of Molding for Beginners, where he earned the top score in his class. He also attended the Paulson School of Molding, Advanced class, again scoring the highest in his class. Additionally, Grant has completed training courses for SolidWorks Essentials and SolidWorks Advanced where he improved his skills working with the CAD program.

Grant worked at Morgan Van Lines as the Shop Manager for 9 ½ years.  In 2005, he was hired by Leggett & Platt at the SCP Plastics location in Booneville, MS as a Cost Reduction Specialist.  At SCP Plastics he worked to improve part quality, cycles and overall efficiency of the molding process by modernizing the latest industry techniques and technologies. He continued working with SCP Plastics until August 2009 as Continuous Improvement Facilitator and Tooling Design Assistant.

In September 2009, Grant worked alongside Bud Hanna to form what is now SCP Polymers, Inc.  Grant and Bud grew the business from the ground up. Under their leadership SCP is now working with over 40 customers.

In 2013, Grant was named Vice President of SCP Polymers, Inc.
