About the President and CEO, H. G. (Bud) Hanna, Jr.

BudHannaBud Hanna began his journey within the plastics industry in 1968 when he attended Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. Bud obtained degrees in Applied Science, Machine Tool, and Fundamentals of Plastics. After graduating from Ferris State, Bud went to work for Mallory Timers Corporation. Mr. Hanna was employed at Mallory for six years. While there, he was responsible for all mold design and construction for Mallory's two molding operations.

After leaving Mallory, Mr. Hanna went to work for Celanese from 1975 until 1983. Throughout this time he not only learned more about engineering grade resins and their various applications, but he learned first hand how to handle his customer's resin needs.

From Celanese, Bud began a partnership and started Atlan Plastics. Bud was with Atlan for eighteen years before he dissolved his portion of the partnership. In 1999, Bud bought SCP, Inc. in Booneville, MS.

SCP was one of Bud's accounts for many years when he was with Celanese. Bud has been able to culminate all his professional experience in tool making, plastic resins, and customer service. He grew SCP, Inc. from a small injection molding company dependent upon the furniture industry to currently a medium size injection molding company that is well diversified within the custom injection molding industry.

One of Bud's largest customers took notice of his success. In 2004, Leggett and Platt purchased SCP, Inc. where he maintains an active role today. Soon after the sell of SCP, Inc. (the injection molding company) Bud began the start up of what is today South Central Polymers, Inc.

Today, South Central Polymers currently ships its Advantage product line to Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, North Carolina, Georgia, and Illinois. Mr. Hanna's goal for South Central Polymers is to provide customers with the technical expertise, quality product, and excellent customer service that will keep customers on the cutting edge - giving them an advantage within their designated market.
